Staff Profiles:

Wayne E. Cook, EA, Owner

Wayne E. Cook  is the founder and sole proprietor of WEC Associates specializing in Income tax preparation, IRS representation and tax planning. As a seasoned tax professional with over 25 years of experience, Wayne has helped thousands of individuals, families and small businesses navigate the complex US Tax Code. His years of experience and on-going tax education enable him to solve the most complex tax issues and disputes. As an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, Wayne has represented taxpayers not only in Massachusetts, but throughout the United States.

Prior to starting his own firm, Wayne worked in the international banking industry where he was a vice president of Global Operations for State Street Bank and a vice president for the original First National Bank of Boston.

Wayne is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, National Association of Tax Professionals and a former 1st Vice President of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents.  Wayne also provides pro bono services to the Bentley University Low Income Tax Clinic.

Diane (“Dee Ann”) F. Wilson, EA

Diane received her Enrolled Agent Desigination in 2013 and immediately joined WEC Associates as an associate. Diane is the Director of the Bentley University Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Diane also holds a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) degree from Bentley University.

Tax Interns

WEC Associates, in close relationship with Bentley University, engages the services of students, as tax interns, studying accounting, finance and taxes, to help the firm during the busy tax filing season. In doing so, it helps each student experience working in a tax firm environment to better understand how the tax system works.

WEC Associates is pleased to include the following two tax interns to its firm for the 2018 filing season:

Brian J. Mascaro, Candidate for Bachelor of Science: Accountancy. Brian is a senior and plans to pursue a Master’s in Taxation (MST) upon graduation. His honors include the Dean’s List and President’s list each semester.

Steven D. Obadiah, Candidate for Bachelor of Science: Economics and Finance. Steven is a sophomore and his honors include President’s List, President’s, Academic Scholarship and is in the Honors Program.
